Projects & Gallery Reimagined
2024 Achievements:
With the help of Gallery donors, local organizations and businesses, community residents, schools and state granting agencies, Gallery Reimagined achieved significant milestones in 2024, its first full year of operation, and has ambitious goals for 2025.
In 2024, the Gallery successfully held two art exhibitions and a variety of community events, including a logo design competition with students from Baltimore Design School, a Mental Health Awareness and Wellness event for artists, and Baltimore’s 1st WAZOBIA Art & Cultural Festival.

Logo Design Competition:
Thirty students from the Baltimore Design School participated in the competition; the winning design has been officially adopted by Gallery Reimagined.

Mental Health and Wellness Workshop:
The event attracted a full capacity crowd who were able to participate in presentations and discussions given by invited guest lecturers. An art exhibition was also held to showcase unique art pieces by participant artists.
Baltimore’s 1st WAZOBIA Art & Cultural Festival: This community event brought together artists, families, and individuals to in a celebration
of African art, dance, music, and food.
What milestones have we reached so far this year?
Wazobia 2025:

We’re thrilled to report that the WAZOBIA Art & Cultural Festival on May 10, 2025 was a huge success — over 400 people RSVPed and nearly 200 joined us for a day of creativity and connection. Our hands-on workshops—from drum-making and beading to African doll-making—were packed with participants eager to learn and create. The stage came alive with a jazz ensemble featuring Baltimore School of the Arts students, an electrifying African dance troupe, and a rich panel discussion on the African Diaspora led by artists from the U.S. and Nigeria.
Attendees savored authentic African cuisine while browsing vendors offering clothing, accessories, and more.
Thank you to everyone who made WAZOBIA a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community!

In partnership with Cavanaugh House,

Gallery Reimagined was proud to participate in the Cavanaugh House “Revive 2 Fundraising”, a unique fundraising event where emerging artists reimagined freshly restored interiors as gallery spaces. Each room — a living room, bedroom, courtroom, children’s room, and foyer — became its own curated environment, with art seamlessly integrated alongside the renewed furniture.
The result was stunning: over 1000 guests explored unexpected juxtapositions of function and creativity, mingling with artists and supporting our shared mission. This collaboration not only raised vital funds but also showcased how art can transform everyday spaces—what a success!
Mental Health Awareness and Wellness 2025: This initiative will focus on the intersection of art and mental health, offering workshops, exhibitions, and activities designed to promote wellness and self-care for both artists and art enthusiasts. Planned for November 2025.
Catalyst: Where Innovation Becomes Inspiration: This exhibition will explore the fascinating relationship between science and art and will highlight a variety of innovative works that blend these two disciplines. This exhibition will be with the collaboration of Merck & Co. Planned for July 8th 2025.
Professional Development Series: A comprehensive program is being designed to equip emerging artists with the knowledge and skills to effectively sell and price their artwork, thus helping them to establish a solid financial foundation from which to continue to develop their careers. The series will cover topics such as understanding the art market, branding and presentation, pricing models, online and in-person sales, negotiation, legal and financial considerations, and scaling an art business. Planned to start September 2025.
Local Non-Profit Collaboration: Partnering with local non-profit organizations like Cosmic Melodic Surfer, Gallery Reimagined co-produced Harmonic Convergence — a music listening gathering that blends visual art with musical expression. This transformative sensory experience showcases diverse artistic mediums alongside captivating musical genres, highlighting the powerful interplay between art and music and reinforcing Baltimore’s vibrant creative spirit.
